Claudine Cherfan is leaving Genesys, and Myopla is not for sale!

Conversational AI and the sluggish BPO market are causing some movement, mostly of a defensive nature, and a few rumours.

Claudine Cherfan

Claudine Cherfan is leaving Genesys
After twenty-five years at the helm of the French division and a region expanded to include Africa, the managing director and Genesys are parting ways, without it being clear who initiated the departure. Neither party has confirmed our information.

The world leader in call centre solutions equips many players in the banking and telecoms sectors in France, including several accounts with 5,000 positions. In June, Gabriel Frasconi took charge of indirect sales channels, a sales method in which the publisher strongly believes for targeting mid-market accounts. Having worked at Salesforce, Zendesk, Freshworks and Slack, the engineer understands customer expectations and the constraints of software sales. It is possible to have a successful career in software by remaining loyal to one team or by changing employers frequently.

Genesys is on the verge of major changes: its on-premise solution will no longer be marketed or maintained within two years. As the solution takes a long time to deploy, many large companies that use it are considering alternatives, particularly within the Genesys Users Club and CCaaS solutions, an independent club.

The club's next meeting will be held on 30 September.

Edouard Layeillon has been appointed sales director for solutions and AI at Majorel.

Formerly of Viavoo, Foundever and Tersea, Edouard joins the global leader, which is looking to accelerate its growth in these markets.

Tom Tardieux has left Ocean Call, where he was Deputy Managing Director of Sales and where he spent seven years. The departure of the young sales director is said to be linked to a fairly serious difference of opinion and practice. This is a story to follow, as the outcome of this separation could be decided by the courts.

Denis Marsault, founder of Myopla, on the cover of En Contact magazine #113

Myopla is not for sale!
Who is spreading rumours about the planned sale of this North Moroccan company, and why? Like many mid-market players, Denis Marsault, founder of this dynamic BPO company, has to think about the future of his SME in a sluggish market where competition is fierce. " But perhaps it is because we are inconveniencing our competitors in tenders that we are likely to win that these rumours are being spread,‘ responded the entrepreneur and ’publisher".

(Like Intelcia and Teleperformance, Myopla is one of the companies in the sector that has published a book dedicated to its business and the city where it is based).

At Teleperformance, Agustin Grisanti has taken over as head of the EMEA and APAC regions, as explained here.

At Armatis, we are moving and strongly believe in the impact of technology. Martin Dufourcq has been appointed managing director of the recently created Armatis Technology subsidiary. SquAire is the name of the software suite, the first product to be launched.
